Wednesday is Animal shelter day - yes, in other words, the best day of the week. It was 15 below, but there's nothing like fuzzy smooches to warm you up!
< This is Blue, with whom I sang Blue Moon into the icy wind. What a sweetie! And such soft fuzz. I'd take him home in a minute! Gorgeous eyes.
And this is Buddy, of the fuzzy fuzzy foot boots.
He looks prissy, but no! He's a total little hunter dude. And he flicks his knees proudly like a Standard-bred, especially after he'd commandeered the empty soda bottle. He's not very fond of cuddling though, very dedicated to his work (rabbit sniffing?), this one.
I can't find a pic of this poodlie beast I was walking. She was shy with those long, dangly, puppy mill nipples. Ouch, especially in the snow. Supposedly a pure poodle, whoops. She was kinda Kerry Blue Terrier/Schnauzer-ish. And there was a handsome yellow lab, with a big manly head, but terrified of getting whacked. His name was Snowflake - gag. He LOVED the snow mountains almost as much as I do, and I didn't slip and smush my head, so it was all around good times!
And this is Lola! AAah, so cute! She's a lab with some, um, American bulldog? She had brindled legs! And she's not shy. She came rocketing around the corner after I put Snowflake away, escaped and quite delighted! I swooped her big fat belly up and then we had a lovely nose nibbling session, with tickling and scratching and lots and lots of sharp little teeth! Even though she's a big girl, her breath still has that hint of puppy coffee!
